Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, speaking poor English, about installing a smart meter. I told them I wasn’t interested at all.

She asked to talk to the business owner, but I told her I was 84 and haven't worked since 1990. She then started swearing at me and said I should “be very afraid.” It was quite shocking!

I was so lucky my phone ran out of battery the moment I answered the call! :) Judging by what others have said, it seems like some sort of auto-dialler that rings loads of people at once, then hooks up whoever answers first and drops the rest. Definitely smells like a scam to me.
