Got a dodgy call from an American woman, left a message on my answerphone about some "California compromise". She told me to press 1 if I’m with BT or 2 for any other provider. Total scam, feels like these fraudsters deserve proper jail time. Blocked the number straight away.

The caller said they were from the Telephone Preference Service and actually knew my name, which was odd. They asked if I frequently get calls from telemarketers. After a quick chat, I decided to just hang up.
