I received a barrage of missed calls and eventually decided to answer one of them. To my surprise, it was a chap claiming to represent Vodafone, touting some offers. I couldn't ascertain whether he was legitimate or not, so I courteously told him I’d ring Vodafone back at a later time that suited me better. He simply agreed and that was that. But it does make me wonder, why would they use a local Elgin number to get in touch? - Caller: Vodafone.

These chaps have been ringing me about once a week, but they only hang on the line for a mere 15 seconds each time. I've been ignoring their calls as they don’t bother to leave any messages behind. I’m based in Wales and have a sneaky suspicion this is just a dodgy spam operation. They seem to be using numbers that look familiar, probably linked to when I was living in Elgin.
