A bloke rang saying he was from BT, told me there was a problem with my internet. He said his name was David Martin, but you could tell he wasn’t local, had a weird accent. When I asked where he was from, he got shirty and I told him it was just a scam from some call centre abroad. Then he started calling me thick! I said, ‘oh, we’re getting personal now,’ and he just hung up. These kind of scams really mess with older people, stealing their savings. They should really be tracked down and locked up. I tried ringing back the number, but an automated voice said it was no longer in service.
