I got a call from 01340 19760, but it only had ten digits which seemed odd. The caller said they were from Onetel, supposedly the internet and phone provider. Thing is, Onetel isn’t even the name they use anymore. As soon as they started babbling about internet changes, I just cut the call off straight away.

I answered the call but there was nothing but silence on the other end.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, said he was ringing from BT call centre. When he asked how I was, I told him it was quite noisy there. Bit weird, but he just cut the call straight away. Now I'm redirecting those calls using 1572.

This number has been ringing my home phone loads, even tho I'm meant to be ex directory. The caller said they were from BT Openreach, but I called him out sayin’ BT wouldn’t be using a 01340 number. And what d'you know? He just hung up on me! Not too shocked by that though. Wish there was some way to stop these scammers (that’s a nice way to put it). Luckily, I clocked what was going on, but I bet plenty of others fall for it.
