They've been calling me daily, but I never pick up. Still, I keep finding voicemail messages that are completely silent.

I’m not totally sure how they actually earn from this, but it seems like it’s making enough for them to keep going. They’ve even improved their system so it skips over calls when no one answers or it just goes to voicemail, so they don’t waste effort on those.

Got two calls from the same number today, and the bloke on the line claimed he was from British Telecom. When I asked what that had to do with some dodgy fraud alert and the recorded message I got earlier, he didn’t really have a proper answer - just gave me some ID number instead. I told him maybe it'd sound less fishy if he actually said the right department when he answered, and maybe found somewhere quieter to talk, since all I could hear was traffic noise in the back. Bit dodgy, if you ask me.
