Got a call today from this number (around 1:15pm, 6th December 2016). The people on the other end were from an Indian call centre, but the call seemed to be coming through an exchange in Craigellachie up in Northern Scotland. They tried the usual line about a problem with my PC and claimed they were Microsoft staff, urging me to switch on my computer so they could access it and “fix” issues, which would actually just infect it after logging in to their website. I kept the caller on for roughly 15 minutes, staying polite throughout. This is a classic scam - please don’t ever follow their advice or instructions. I've blocked the number but wouldn’t be surprised if similar calls come from others. Just be careful and block if you can. The number was 01340075763.
