10 yearsI just had a rather dubious call from the number mentioned above (1:15 PM, 6th December 2016). It seemed to be an Indian call centre, using a connection that leads back to Craigellachie, in the north of Scotland. They spouted the usual nonsense about problems with my computer. Claiming to represent Microsoft, they urged me to switch on my computer, which I suspect would have ended up compromised after navigating to their dodgy website. I managed to keep the conversation going for about 15 minutes while maintaining a friendly tone, but I could sense something was amiss. This is a classic SCAM and should be disregarded entirely. Under no circumstances should anyone adhere to their requests. I've added this number to my block list, although I wouldn't be surprised to receive further calls from other similar fraudsters.
