Had a right strange call earlier today - a chap with an Asian accent claimed he was ringing about my laptop. I told him straight away that I didn’t own one. He quickly pivoted, saying it was regarding my computer instead. To throw him off the scent, I mentioned that I hadn’t touched my computer in ages. His response? “I can assist you in using your computer” - what a cheek! I firmly told him that I couldn't chat at the moment and had no intention of conversing with him. He then insisted, saying, “But madam, I need to speak with you.” That's when I hung up. Honestly, these folks just don't pick up on hints! It’s unfortunate that there are innocent souls out there who might fall for this nonsense. I'm trying to trace who that caller was, but of course, he wouldn’t divulge his identity. Thankfully, the number showed up on my phone log.
