The caller introduced himself as "Alex" and claimed to be from Microsoft Support, complete with a distinct Indian accent. Intrigued, I decided to keep him on the line for nearly an hour by feigning ignorance and pretending that my laptop was operating at a snail's pace. As he persistently urged me to divulge my IP address so he could supposedly "fix" my system via remote access, I eventually revealed that I'm quite knowledgeable about computers and was fully aware of his intentions. Immediately after that, the connection was abruptly severed. I strongly advise anyone receiving a call from this number to report it to "Action Fraud" at 0300 123 2040.
