I got a call from this number around 1:15pm on 17th February 2017. The bloke said his name was "Alex" and claimed he was ringing from Microsoft Support, though he had a strong Indian accent. I played along, pretending my PC was running really slow, and kept him on the line for nearly an hour. He kept trying to get me to share my IP address so he could "fix" my computer by accessing it remotely. Eventually, I told him I knew exactly what he was up to as I'm quite tech-savvy myself. After that, the call just dropped. If this number ever rings you, it’s best to report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

This number called me too, saying there was something wrong with my PC. It’s definitely a con to either hack into your system or trick you into paying for a fake fix. Just end the call straight away and never follow any instructions they give!

Today around 4.53pm, I got a phone call from someone saying my computer was in serious trouble and they could help fix it right away. The person was speaking English but with a strange accent. My phone number isn’t listed anywhere and I keep it private. I’m quite old and found the call quite worrying.
