This definitely sounds like a scam to me. The number 01339 is from northern Scotland, but the recorded message said it was from my internet provider, warning that my internet would be cut off in 24 hours due to some security issue, and to press 1 to fix it. Why didn't they say which company they were from, like Sky, BT or Virgin? That’s because they have no clue who my actual provider is! Plus, my provider isn’t even based in Scotland. If there were a real problem, I’d expect a proper call from my genuine provider, not some dodgy recorded message.
