I got a call saying it was BT tech support, claiming there was an issue with my router. I pressed one and ended up chatting with a bloke with an Indian accent. He asked when I'd last used the internet. I asked where he was calling from, and he said London. I told him that was nonsense because I work for BT myself (which wasn’t true), and that the tech dept isn’t based in London. Then he wanted my ID to verify things, but I pointed out his phone number had a Scottish area code. That seemed to annoy him because he just hung up on me.
