Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk - total scam alert, watch out for this number!

They mentioned an issue with the BT line, but since it wasn’t actually a BT problem, I just ended the call.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from BT, said my router had issues and someone was trying to hack into my PC. The bloke, called Christopher or something, told me to turn on my desktop. I tried to ask for more details but he gave nothing away. I meant to end the call quick and I did. Just a heads up, watch out for this one.

Total scam, got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was calling from TalkTalk. He told me there was an issue with my router and internet connection, which is rubbish because everything's fine. When I told him I don't even use TalkTalk he just ended the call. Suspicious much!

Yesterday I got a call from someone pretending to be BT saying that someone was using my internet for illegal activities. I told them I work in IT and they just ended the call. Today, they phoned me again but only kept saying "O2" over and over before hanging up.

Got a call the other day from someone claiming to be TaikTaik about a router issue. They wanted me to open my desktop and made weird noises, which went on for ages. I pretended to follow their instructions but ended up with my computer not working at all. They said they'd ring back the next day, which they did. I played along again, but then the bloke got proper rude and threatened to cut me off. Afterwards, I called AOL to let them know, but they didn’t seem bothered at all. Guess you just have to be careful as these people are always about.

Some bloke called me, claiming he’s from TalkTalk and going on about problems with my connection. I told him I had his number saved and was reporting him to the cops. Right after he dropped a few choice words, he hung up on me. If everyone’s got his number, why hasn’t he been nicked yet?

Got a call from someone with a posh English accent claiming to be from Talk Talk. Gave me a name too. Like I always do with these so-called Talk Talk people, I told them straight up, "No you're not, you're just a lying, cheating scoundrel, so kindly jog on." Haven’t heard from them since.

Kept saying he was calling from TT and even gave me his number to call back, but I’m pretty sure he was a scammer. He was going on about my router being infected, which seemed fishy.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from Talk Talk. He wanted to know if I was the one who pays the bill. Didn't trust it, so I’ve blocked the number already.

Got a call from a young Asian woman claiming to be from TalkTalk, said my computer had a virus. I asked her if her mum knew she was scamming people and if she was proud of it. She got really annoyed and hung up on me. I've used the mum guilt trip with these scammers before, don't think it really fazes them but it does make me feel a bit better.

Around 10.45 in the morning, I got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, saying she was from TalkTalk. Typical scam stuff coming from some call centre! These calls happen almost every week and whenever I ask too many questions, they just cut the call straight away. They ring from different numbers, sometimes even as 'withheld'. I’ve flagged them as 'Dangerous' because these calls seem pretty dodgy!

Received a call from 01335457754 today, and I’m pretty sure it’s a TalkTalk scam. They rang me on my landline, which felt dodgy. I’d suggest not picking up if you get a call from them. Avoid it!

Yet another brazen Talk Talk scammer at it again! Some chap with a distinctly British accent, tossed me a name, as if that would make him trustworthy. I let him know exactly what I thought of him-called him a deceitful, thieving scoundrel and told him to do one. To no one's astonishment, he hung up without so much as a word. Classic!

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk. He asked for me using just my initials and last name, then said my router was infected with a virus. I told him I knew about these scam calls and ended the call right away. I've since blocked the number.

Got a call from some bloke who said his name was Mark - bit hard to understand with his thick accent though. Kept jabbering about my computer or something techy, but honestly couldn’t make out a word. Just hung up straight away without saying much.

Some time back, I got a call from this number from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from Talk Talk. Seemed quite legit since he mentioned the exact day when a real Talk Talk engineer came round in February. I nearly let him into my PC remotely. Today, on 28.09.2016, I got the same call again. I pretended to go along with it for a while, then told him flat out that he was a dodgy scammer trying to hack into my computer. He quickly ended the call.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming he was calling from TalkTalk. He asked if the light on my router was green or red. Told him I wasn’t sure since the router is downstairs. Then he asked if I use a computer, and I said no. He said there might be no internet for a couple of hours but I told him that was alright.

I got a call that showed up as a UK number, but it was marked as coming from abroad on my phone. I picked up but stayed quiet, then I heard some kind of Eastern language being spoken before they just ended the call. I used to be with TT back when that data breach happened!

Got a call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk, saying my router is infected with a virus and I need to give them access to my computer. I spoke to both men and women on the line, all with pretty heavy Indian accents. When I tried ringing them back, BT said the numbers aren’t valid. They've used this number and also 0208 887 8988. Sounds like another TalkTalk scam to me!

I got three calls today, all saying they're from Talk Talk or AOL. One was from an 0208 number, another was a no caller ID, and the last was this number. When I picked up the last one, no one said anything. Definitely scams - I just hung up straight away!

Got a call from someone who sounded like they were in an Indian call centre or something. No one actually spoke, just some noise in the background, then the line just went dead. Don’t really know what that was about.
