I received a call claiming to be from TalkTalk, and they were asking for permission to access my computer. The thing is, I don’t actually own one! It was rather odd, and the woman on the line sounded like she was chuckling throughout the conversation.

I had a hunch it was dodgy from the start. It was just so unprofessional-this bloke was practically shouting down the line. He claimed to be from TalkTalk and insisted they needed to shut our internet off for two hours while they dealt with a virus, waving about some kind of wire as if that was supposed to convince me. I made it abundantly clear that I wasn't giving them any sort of permission for that nonsense. Then 'Adam' had the audacity to tell me he had clearance from his manager. Naturally, I asked to speak to this manager. When he finally got on the line and heard my voice, he had the gall to say, 'I DO NOT SPEAK TO A WOMAN. GIVE IT TO A MAN. WOMEN ARE NOTHING.' I was absolutely livid. I hung up straight away and reported the incident to TalkTalk. Honestly, my experience with TalkTalk has shown me how careless they can be with various matters. I’m seriously considering switching to another provider because this is simply unacceptable.

Received a call purporting to be from TalkTalk, but I’ve got to warn you all-TalkTalk doesn’t make unsolicited calls like that. I’ve encountered similar situations previously and have since reported it to the fraud hotline. Stay vigilant!

I've received two calls from this number, but I simply won’t pick up if the caller isn't someone I recognise.

I recently received a call that claimed to be from TalkTalk, which is indeed our internet provider. The caller mentioned that our router was experiencing intermittent issues and asked if I could power up my computer so they could assist further. I politely declined, explaining that I was quite occupied at that moment.

Got a call at about 1:52pm on 4th October 2016, the person just hung up. Sounded like an Indian guy claiming to be from TalkTalk, so probably a scam.
