I got a recorded call from some American woman claiming to be from BT, saying there were big issues with my computer and that my internet would be disconnected today. The message ended suddenly, probably before they could give me a number to call back to stop it happening. I checked the number with 1471 and it wasn't right. If BT was really calling, they'd use an 0800 number, so this was obviously a scam, just a really poor one at that.
