4 yearsI got a call regarding an issue with my internet connection, and although the caller’s number seemed to be from the UK, he definitely wasn’t a local. He wanted me to access my computer, but I wasn’t having any of it. He claimed he could fix my internet speed if I followed his instructions. After I said no way to logging into my PC, I ended the call. He rang me back asking why I’d dropped the call. I told him again I wasn’t about to fiddle with my computer just because of a random phone call, and hung up once more. The phone rang a third time, but I didn’t pick up then. Checked the number with 1471 afterwards and it showed this same number, but when I tried calling it back, I got told the number wasn’t recognised.
