I’d like to think this was a genuine call from Barclays regarding a payment exceeding a couple of hundred pounds that was apparently made from overseas in the past half hour. However, it wasn’t Barclays at all! I took the precaution of reviewing my account and even reached out to Barclays to inquire about the call. Turns out, no such call was ever made to me. They had the last four digits of my card, which is a bit alarming! I've gone ahead and blocked my card, and I’ve also asked for a replacement.
