This morning at 7am I got a call and the guy claimed he was calling from Microsoft. After I told him what I really thought, I ended the call. Just like others have mentioned, his accent was distinctly Asian.

Rang me up at the crack of dawn, around six o'clock, but thankfully I was still tucked up in bed. Talk about dodging a bullet! Appreciate the heads-up. Whenever these lot ring, I like to play along and say, "Good morning, Cyber Crime Prevention Unit - Interpol here. What seems to be the problem?" They skedaddle pretty swiftly after that, never to be seen again. It's been a while since I've had one of their calls, to be honest.

I had a rather unnerving experience as this number, 02541021151, rang me not only last night but also this morning. It’s been flagged as a scam relating to Microsoft, which is quite concerning. Be careful if you receive a call from them!

Around noon, a call came from 01334472907 with someone saying they were from Microsoft. My wife wasn’t having any of it and refused to answer his questions, which seemed to annoy him. He started raising his voice and telling her she wasn’t paying attention. Just like in other cases, the guy spoke with an Indian accent. Kind of odd though, since the number is actually registered in St Andrews, Scotland.

Received a call today from someone claiming to be Michael representing Microsoft! The chap had an Asian accent, and I had a bit of fun stringing him along for a few minutes as he insisted my computer was in jeopardy and that I ought to log in. Clearly, his aim was to gain remote access, but I decided not to drag it out; I was merely curious about the nonsense he'd come out with. When I hung up, he rang back and threatened my husband, stating he'd cancel our Microsoft licence! I've since blocked the number, but honestly, these sorts of people are incredibly perilous for anyone who might be caught off guard. It's high time more action was taken to put a halt to this kind of fraudulent behaviour.

Got a call from some scammers pretending to be computer techs, saying they wanted to fix my PC. These lot are really dangerous, might lock you out or nick your info. I said mine were all busted anyway, and they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call at about 2.45 this afternoon from a bloke named Mike. He wasn’t speaking with an English accent and said he was ringing from Microsoft about my computer. He told me I didn’t own a desktop or a laptop, which isn’t true, and then said he was happy to give me one for free! Bit fishy if you ask me. 227

I got a call from 01334472907 claiming to be from IBM Reading. The bloke had a really thick foreign accent, so it was hard to make out what he was saying. When I asked for his address, he snapped, “You just listen to me now.” I kept interrupting and asking for the IBM address, and then he just hung up. Sounds like a classic scammer using IBM’s name, but honestly, who’s going to stop these lot?

Got a call from 01334472907 claiming to be from IBM reading. The bloke had such a strong foreign accent that it was really hard to make out what he was saying. When I pressed him for his address, he snapped, “Listen here now,” which just made me talk over him even more, asking again for the IBM address. In the end, he just hung up. Clearly using IBM’s name to scam, but seriously, who’s gonna track these crooks down?
