Got a call from a Derby code number. I missed it, so I rang back. Got straight to a recorded message saying "we appreciate your call - please hold, an agent will assist you soon." Waited a bit then gave up after a minute, thinking it could be one of those expensive scam numbers where they keep you waiting and your bill keeps rising. Thanks for the heads-up on this site. I’ve blocked the number now. Well done. These muppets just don’t give up, do they?

Somebody called saying they were from an accident repair place and that they’d connect me with their manager. I ended the call, but then the “manager” rang me back from a mobile number 07537188179. I mentioned that the number showed up as fraud on my phone, and he started being really rude. I hung up and blocked both numbers straight away.

Called by National Repair Centre about an accident from 2018. They claimed I’d made a personal injury claim, which I definitely hadn’t. When I corrected them, the person said they had to pass me to their legal department because there was some money waiting for me from a personal injury. I told them I wasn’t interested at all and asked to be taken off their call list.

When I asked the woman to say her name again and told her I didn’t know who they were, I also asked why they were so interested in my accident, and she just ended the call.
