I asked the bloke if Id ever had any contact with his company before. He said no. Then I mentioned that my number’s actually registered with the TPS. He suddenly got really polite and said hed take me off their list. I thanked him, told him to have a good day and ended the call.

I heard from someone in the know that Everlast gets their info by buying phone numbers and addresses from places like Tesco and Vision Express. It seems if you give your phone number at Tesco or the opticians in-store, they might be selling that info on the side just to make a quick buck. Bit sneaky if you ask me.

I got a call on my phone from a number that looked familiar since it was from around here, so I picked up. Not sure how they got hold of my digits though! It was a company called Everlast asking about loft insulation, like if I’d had any done and if it was the fibreglass type. I didn’t want to get into it, so when I dodged their questions, they just ended the call. Anyway, I’ve blocked them now!
