I reached out to enquire about getting a surveyor to assess the insulation in my loft, but they couldn't offer a ballpark figure on the cost. When I pressed for more information, they abruptly ended the call, which left me rather disheartened as I had remained polite and respectful throughout our conversation.

Got a call about energy saving from my local council, they already had my full name and address. When I asked where they got my info from, they said something called the UK Register of Households. I asked what exactly that was, and she just repeated the same thing without explaining. She got a bit rude when I wouldn’t share any info and just ended the call. Seems like a total waste of time. Definitely felt like a scam.

The person on the line claimed to be from Grimsby, not Derbyshire as I initially thought. They inquired whether my residence was still numbered 54.
