Just got a call from 01332 891287. A lady on the line knew my name but mixed up my title. She claimed to be ringing on behalf of some energy company. I asked her how she managed to get my number but she had no answer. Ended the call straight away. Feels like an energy scam to me.

Somebody called me sayin I hadn’t paid my home tax and that the police was on their way to arrest me for fraud. Totally dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming I hadn’t settled my tax with HMRC and the police were on their way to arrest me. Felt like a proper scam to me.

Got a call yesterday where they asked if I was 'Mrs' followed by my old family name. I've been married for ages with a different surname now, so I reckoned it was a bit fishy. I just said they’d got the wrong person and then they just hung up straight away.

Sadly, a lot of folks end up getting caught out by these scams because the thought of scoring something free just seems too good to miss.

I’ve noticed that some double glazing reps try to tempt you with what looks like a big discount from the initial price. They often add pressure by saying the deal’s only good for a limited time, so you’ve gotta decide pretty quickly or you miss out. Honestly, just ignore the calls and block the number - not worth the hassle!

a proper definition of a scammer has got to be someone who rings you loads of times from various numbers and never bothers to leave a voicemail! it's pretty clear they're fishing for your bank info to finance their dodgy schemes. don’t just sit there and take this abuse - report it straight away to action fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 or visiting their website for further info. let’s work together to track down these nasty con artists and make sure they’re dealt with.

Received a rather perplexing call from a business named Euroseal, apparently about some potential funding opportunities???!!!!!!!!!!!! - caller: Euroseal

The sales spiel was so hasty and disjointed that I barely caught the name of the firm reaching out. It left me flabbergasted - how on earth do they have my last name? The caller identified themselves as Euroseal, but it was a struggle to follow anything else!

Got a call from some bloke pushing double glazing, said he worked for euroseal. When I asked how they got my number, he said he was new and had no idea, it was some automatic dialling thing. Told him they can't contact me without my permission thanks to gdpr, and he didn't seem to know what that was.

I tried calling the number but it didn’t actually ring through, instead it just showed an extension number. They got in touch with me around 3:15 this afternoon.

Rather impolite, wouldn't you say? Essentially, it's just some annoying telemarketer on the line-caller: Telemarketer.

Euroseal - just some nonsense about eco-friendliness. Got a call from a Derby number. The caller went on about “Euroseal”.
