We’ve stopped picking up calls from numbers we don’t recognise now. They usually don’t bother leaving a voicemail, which is no surprise really. Had a look on here and decided to block this number. Oh, and 01332990000 keeps calling us too - that one’s blocked as well.

About a month back, a lady called saying my washing machine warranty was up. Since my old one, which was 15 years old, had just stopped working and I got a new one a few days earlier, I asked her which machine she meant - then she just cut the call. Now, I’m getting these silent calls every day. I just let my answerphone pick them up these days.

Got a call from someone saying he was Josh at APU, wanting to sell a warranty extension for a washing machine - but we don't even own one! He had my husband's name and our address, which was a bit creepy. Funny thing is, yesterday I missed a call from a Derby-ish number that seemed related; checked online and saw loads of people had the same kind of call. I wouldn’t have picked up today if my husband hadn’t done so. It definitely sounded like one of those call centre setups with plenty of agents ringing round.

Got a call at 5.11pm on the 7th of September from a woman claiming to be with APU. She said my washing machine insurance was no longer valid. I didn’t want to give any personal details and she kept insisting she needed to talk to my missus about the insurance. Proper pushy behaviour. When I said no, she just hung up on me.

Got a call from a bloke who knew my name and said it was about the washing machine. He even got the street right, but the house number was completely wrong. Once I mentioned the washing machine was registered to my partner, he just ended the call straight away.
