I received a call claiming to be from HMRC saying there was a fraud case linked to me and to press 1 to speak to someone about it. Worried, I hit 1. After waiting on hold for about 5 minutes, someone came on and asked for my name. I replied by asking who exactly they were and why they were calling, without giving any personal info. Right after that, the call just got cut off. So obviously, this was a scam attempt.
