Got a call from HMRC telling me to press one to chat with the officer handling this supposed tax fraud linked to me. Sounds dodgy to me.

theres a scam going around where a recorded message pretends to be hmrc saying they’re taking legal action and telling you to press one to talk to someone about paying. just to be clear, hmrc isnt behind this and you should hang up straight away. ive heard that alot of elderly folks and people who might be vunerable have been caught out by this trick. be careful!
