Got a bogus call with a recorded message claiming I'd made payments of £900 and £700 earlier today. It asked me to "Press 1" to verify the transactions. I stayed quiet and didn't respond at all, then the line just dropped. Pretty obvious it was a scam.

Ugh, these scam callers just won’t quit, absolute pests! Now they’re pretending to be from the ‘Mastercard Refund team’ saying there were ‘two transactions on my card’ - I told the robotic voice straight up to buzz off, then dashed over here to post about the number. These dodgy kinds are everywhere, but the best way to deal with them is to block their numbers and warn others about their nasty little scams.

I’m on the Do Not Call list but somehow these annoying calls keep slipping past. Honestly, if they ever catch these pests, they deserve some serious punishment.

Got a robot call supposed to be from Visa, saying there were two payments made earlier today and to hit 1 if I wanted to cancel them.

Luckily, I was logged into my online banking then, so I could tell straight away it was dodgy.

Sounds like a typical phishing trick, hoping people will press 1 thinking it’s legit, then get through to an actual scammer trying to nick card info or something like that.

They told me I was misusing my landline and internet and said they were going to report me to the police.

Got a missed call while we were out, but no voicemail was left. We’re not familiar with anyone or any companies from Derby, so I’m guessing it’s a scam.
