Got a call from 01332788340, which shows up as a Derby number. I’m about 10 miles out north of Derby in Derbyshire, so naturally I pick up, thinking it might be something official. Turns out it was that HM Revenue Tax fraud scam. I’ve blocked the number now and really reckon anyone in Derbyshire should do the same - it sounds like it could be a legit call from somewhere like Royal Derby Hospital, which is why I answered it in the first place. If these scammers are going to use UK numbers at least, you'd hope the government would step in and deal with this rubbish!
