I got a call from this number and it showed up like it was from my own area, so I was pretty suspicious right away. They told me the same thing about my IP being hacked in different countries. Then they said my service would be cut off within 24 to 48 hours. Definitely a scam, you really don’t want to mess with these people, they’re bad news.

Like many others, I got a call claiming my IP was hacked and they’d be cutting off my service. They asked to speak to an engineer which seemed off right away. Instead of naming an actual internet company, they just said “internet provider,” which felt dodgy. These scammers should definitely be tracked down. The call came from a local area code, or I’d have just let it ring. Now I’ve blocked the number.

Got a call from this number earlier today but they didn’t leave a voicemail or anything. I tried ringing back since it looked like a local number, but there was just a dead tone. Seeing what others have said, I decided to block it now.
