this number has been callin me every day for like 10 days straight. once i finally picked up, i just stayed silent and after a bit they just hung up on me. i'm gonna block it now for sure.

Someone was calling pretending they were with HMRC. It was pretty clear from the way they spoke it was a scam. Definitely don’t trust calls like that, especially if they’re asking for personal info. Stay safe!

Got two calls today, first was from one number then a bit later another one from different digits. Both said they were from HMRC and warned about some fraud on my account. I hit 1 to talk to someone and actually got connected pretty quick. Asked the guy to stop ringing me but he threatened that I could be arrested if I don’t keep talking to him. Proper dodgy.

Got a call that just stayed silent when I picked up. The answering machine was on but all I could hear was a bit of faint noise in the background, nothing said at all.

When I picked up, they already had my first name which made it seem like they were calling about my life insurance. But when I asked what company they represented and which policy exactly, they suddenly said they were just brokers. Then they went on about death rates and how people are living longer these days. I said, "So, you're here to sell me a policy?" and the guy got a bit snappy, like "If you'd just let me explain." Feels like during Covid times, some firms are just trying their luck, playing on people’s worries.
