I missed a call and checked my voicemail afterwards. The message said something about avoiding going to court or even jail by pressing 1, or to press 2 to dismiss it. It was all about tax evasion. Pretty obvious this is a scam because if HMRC had a problem with me, they'd write to me, not leave a voicemail like that. The message was recorded and the voice sounded American, which made me think they might be more used to terms like "tax evasion" than we are here in the UK. The number showed a Derby area code, which just made it more confusing!
