This was definitely a scam, the caller claimed to be from HMRC and told me to press 1 to talk to someone. They then asked for my full name right away. I didn’t want to share any of my details, so I asked straight up why they were calling me. The guy kept saying he was just an agent and the call was routed to him, so he needed my name to assist. I stayed firm and wouldn’t give any personal info, demanding an explanation for the call. He got quite irate after a bit and ended up hanging up on me.
