Its a roofing and window firm that uses cold calls to book meetings. Their workers only earn commission and they keep swapping people out. One cold caller actually told me to just block their number. Its really stressful, especially for folks who are vulnerable.

Got a call with loads of TV sounds in the back, someone saying I supposedly got a quote about doors or windows sometime earlier this year, then went on about a new 'deal' from the company giving 35% off. When I said I never had any quote, the person just made some weird noise and then cut the call. Could be risky for elderly or older folks who might get tricked.

Just got a call on my phone, and they actually knew my name. When I asked where they got my info from, they said it was about a request I supposedly made for home improvements. I called her out, said I never asked about anything like that and asked who gave her my details. She then said she couldn’t tell me. I ended the call, but she rang back straight away, apologising for the call dropping. Told her it didn’t drop at all and hung up again.

For the past month, this number has been ringing my mobile daily. Each time I answer, there's nothing but silence on the other end, which has driven me to call them back out of sheer frustration. When I did, they identified themselves as a company dealing with roof coverings, but their attitude was shockingly offhand when I mentioned reporting their incessant calls as harassment. Honestly, it feels like there's a pressing need to put a stop to these nuisances once and for all!

I've received calls from this number thrice in the last week. On one occasion, the caller specifically wanted to speak to my husband, using his surname, no less! I informed them that he no longer resides here! 😁 Naturally, I enquired who was on the line, but they promptly hung up on me. I've since erased their number from my records. I'm fairly certain that this number belongs to a double glazing firm named Roofline. It seems they utilise the same call centre agents as many of the other local businesses. They tend to give me a ring towards the month's conclusion, likely because they're scrambling to meet their sales quotas or bonuses.

When I manage to, I usually just add these types of numbers to my blocked contacts list.

Got a call from Roofline in Derby the other day. They didn’t leave a message, just a typical double glazing sales pitch. I rang back and politely asked to be taken off their list. No need for any fuss or rudeness, they seemed pretty friendly about it.
