Red Star PPI kept ringing me, bit of a nuisance but nothing too bad. The lady who called was polite tho and told me about signing up for TPS. I called 0161 834 5333 and got through to a bloke named Steffan, who was really friendly and sorted out getting my details taken off their list. Would say ask for him straight away.

Today, I found myself on the receiving end of not one, but two calls from these dodgy characters who refer to themselves as Red Star. They had the audacity to know my previous address, which raised an eyebrow or two. Then, to my utter disbelief, they began probing about credit cards I held during a particular timeframe - it’s pretty much a given they were after any unclaimed PPI. I swiftly informed the caller that I was fully aware of my rights and mentioned that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service. I let him know that their tactics stank of fishing for unsuspecting customers, which, I might add, is against the law. His response was rather rude and then he abruptly ended the call. I am positively fed up with these opportunistic companies and their staff who clearly have no sense of ethics whatsoever.
