Today, I received a rather dubious phone call from a gentleman claiming to represent HMRC. He stated that I was on the brink of facing legal action due to alleged tax evasion and that he could assist me in resolving this dilemma. I have no doubt in my mind that this chap was nothing more than a lowly scam artist, not an actual officer from HMRC!
