Got a call from an Asian lady asking for my daughter by her name. Trouble is, she hasn't lived at this address for ages now since she’s got her own family and partner. I said no, but then the woman started asking about our heating to check if we might get help with bills. I’ve had calls like this before and I reckon it’s a phishing scam. Really dodgy, especially for older folks who might fall for it.

I got a call from Dolly Gupta and her bunch of scammers from the Philippines pretending to be from some Loft Insulation Survey. They keep ringing me up, and you hear stories of them arriving over here in small boats too. I used to chuckle when my dad used to say "this place is going downhill". Guess what, after all these years, he was spot on. These outsiders don’t seem to share our way of life at all. Honestly, bring on Rwanda!

This number has called me a couple of times today even though I told them to take me off their call list. They claimed they were conducting a survey about my energy consumption recently and kept insisting it wasn't a sales pitch. I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. I've already blocked the number. Plus, I got a similar call from a London number just yesterday and another one last week from somewhere else, but I can’t recall where since I blocked and deleted it straight away.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was from the energy-saving trust, insisting it wasn’t a sales pitch. He’s rung me three times over three days. The first time, he mentioned he was doing a survey. I’m pretty sure it’s a phishing attempt. I looked up the energy saving trust myself - the number didn’t match theirs, and they told me they never cold call anyone. They advised not to share any info and just hang up because it’s a scam.

He said his name was Joe but honestly, his accent was nothing like what you'd hear here, especially out of Derby, which is where he claimed to be ringing from. He insisted it wasn’t a sales pitch, but then went on about helping me cut down on my 'rising' energy costs. Yeah, right, unless he’s hit the jackpot and wants to share, I’m not buying it. I'm getting these blasted calls on a weekly basis, all for loft insulation sales. It's quite frustrating, really-I've had numerous calls from them now. It feels as though it's coming from a call centre overseas. The pitch they give is always identical, no variation at all. When I mentioned that they keep pestering me each week, they claimed it was the first time my number was dialled. Honestly, I'd recommend blocking them altogether.

Just had another one of those dodgy calls. I wanted to know how they got my info. The lady on the line, who had a foreign accent, claimed it was from a list not signed up to the TPS or maybe I hadn’t unticked marketing during some online purchase. Thing is, I’m definitely on the TPS and I always make sure to opt out of any marketing stuff. It’s so frustrating having to put up with these pointless calls. I received a rather peculiar call from someone asserting to be affiliated with a firm known as Binnacle. Oddly enough, my attempts to find any record of such a company came up empty-handed. The caller prattled on about heating efficiency, but insisted it wasn’t a sales pitch. They went on to reference Ofgem in a rather convoluted manner. To my surprise, they requested to re-confirm my address and name, even though they already possessed both. Their parting words hinted at a follow-up to determine eligibility for assistance. Well, that was enough for me-I’ve now blocked their number!
