Got a call from 0161 676 again - didn’t even pick up, just straight blocked it.

I had an odd encounter today. Some bloke rang our home looking for me, but my daughter explained that I was occupied on another call. Not long after, he tried again, this time asking after my husband. Once more, my daughter kindly informed him that he was busy at work. The man was terribly abrupt, claiming he had called just twenty minutes before and was told the same thing. I must say, his rudeness was uncalled for. I have no intention of giving him or his firm the time of day.

Wanted to talk to the company directors but was told they weren't available, so he said he'll give it another go sometime soon.

I received a call today claiming to be from Diamond Resorts regarding our timeshare. They were inquiring whether we wanted to bank our additional three weeks, priced at £99 each. However, when I probed them about their identity, the line suddenly went silent, as if the signal was lost. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Not sure who owns this number but sounds like a call centre. They didn’t hang up properly when no one answered, so I ended up overhearing a chat the woman was having with someone else at their office.

A timeshare firm kept ringing, claiming I hadn’t collected a free week. I calmly told the bloke I wasn’t interested and asked him to delete my info from their records. After saying it three times, he got a bit annoyed and said if I was gonna keep going, so would he. Then he just dropped the call.

A woman named Dawn rang me saying she was from Arrow Travel and because I supposedly own a timeshare, I was eligible for a free holiday. When she asked if I still owned it, I said no. Then she wanted to know if I had any written proof from the timeshare company confirming I no longer owned it, warning I might be charged management fees otherwise. I told her I’d given up my timeshare and she just hung up. Sounds like yet another timeshare con? This is the third call I’ve had this week, each from different people or companies. Seems like someone is passing around details.

Some bloke said he was from a firm called either Action Travel or Arrow Travel, wanted a chat about a holiday scheme I used to be part of (I once had a time share apartment). When I told him I wasn’t interested in time shares anymore, he said he wasn’t either. I then told him I wanted to end the call but he carried on anyway. Eventually, I just had to hang up.
