Got a call from 01332323143 today. The guy said I could get a grant for a driveway and kept trying to get my personal info. Told him a few times I wasn’t interested but he just wouldn’t get it. After a while he finally gave up. Quite annoying really.

My wife answered the first time, but she reckons it was just an automated message since when she tried to speak it didn’t reply. When Sophie rang again today and said her name, I didn’t bother and just told her to get lost before hanging up.

Got a call from Sophie, said she was with Energy Homes, number looked like it was from Derby. She kept asking if I had solar panels and offering to fit some to cut my energy bills by 70%. I tried to ask her a few things but she just kept repeating the same stuff over and over. Ended up hanging up ’cause it was just the same questions again and again and getting a bit dull.

Got a call from someone named "Mike" claiming to be from the "UK funding corporation," had a really thick Indian accent. He said he was ringing about some debts I supposedly owed. Thanks to watching loads of Jim Browning videos, I could spot straight away that it was a scam. Ended up keeping him on the line for a bit just to waste his time before I hung up and blacklisted the number.

On 14th June, I noticed a call from 1810 on my landline. Thing is, my landline is usually unplugged and I’ve got an answerphone set up. I only check the messages once a week and never find any from scammers. Nowadays, I just use my mobile for all my calls. If you ever pick up your landline, my tip is to ask anyone who calls to send you a letter to your home address - but seriously, don’t give it out over the phone! That usually stops them cold. If it was a genuine government department, they wouldn’t be calling like that in the first place.

I was taken aback, as I’ve never encountered their company before and outright stated that I’m not in any sort of debt. After that, I decided it was best to end the conversation abruptly.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with UK Debit Funding, saying they represented a government office and had obtained my info from a National Debit Register or something. It was definitely a scam. I really don’t understand why this number is still out there and no one's done anything to catch these people. They should face legal action for this.

If it’s something legit, they’ll buzz again or drop a message if they can’t reach you. And if not, well, it probably wasn’t that urgent anyway! Better to be safe and not lose a penny! :)

This young woman called claiming to be from an energy firm and mentioned something like 'I believe you own this property'. When I told her the number she was ringing was supposed to be off the grid and I hadn’t asked for the call, she looked a bit lost. She muttered 'That's fine' like I’d agreed I was the owner and then told me to wait on the line, probably checking with her boss as she sounded quite fresh at this sort of thing. I didn’t bother hanging around though.
