Reports on phone number 01332323008
4 yearsToday, I received a phone call from this number purporting to be associated with a company offering HomeCare insurance. It seems that my information may have been sourced from some registry, which is a bit concerning, especially since it mentioned a password that I actually use. The individual on the line asserted that they were contacting me regarding the next payment for a contract that supposedly covers maintenance for my washing machine. Sadly, I had previously fallen victim to a similar scam when I had a genuine contract for my Sky box and television, which was subsequently taken over by another firm with a name quite like theirs. However, I was quite certain that I had never signed up for any sort of policy related to my washing machine. The call ended abruptly after the caller attempted to intimidate me with threats of billing. This incident occurred on the 19th of April in 2022.HomeCareSky4 yearsI had this number blocked after a previous call, but it still rang my phone three times in a row really fast. Every time it stopped, my phone played the message "your call cannot be answered right now, thanks for calling." Kinda wish that blocking meant it wouldn’t even make my phone ring at all.5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be a ‘local energy expert’, but as soon as I mentioned I don’t own a home, they just ended the call. Feels like a total scam to me.5 yearsNot entirely certain, but it came across like some kind of robot. There were pauses as if it was waiting for me to answer, then it just moved on like nothing. Maybe it was just some clueless scammer, who knows? The person said they were from my neighbourhood's energy provider but didn’t seem bothered by my questions (I kept asking "who are you working for?" over and over). They just kept chatting away. Eventually, it went silent and I ended the call.5 yearsThey rang a few times, but never left a message even though it went through to my voicemail.5 yearsI picked up the phone, but it was silent until I broke the ice. Suddenly, I heard a click on their side, and a male voice chimed in, inquiring whether I was the person who owned the house. I mentioned that I was currently in a meeting. Almost immediately, there was that telltale click again, and then the call was abruptly cut off. It really gave off the impression of a robocall, just hanging around waiting for me to say something.5 yearsJust like the others have mentioned regarding the damp and mould situation. He asked how I was doing, but I made it clear that it was none of his concern. I didn’t share a word with him. When he continued spouting his rehearsed lines, I chose to hang up.5 yearsSome bloke rang saying he was from an energy company, talking about loft insulation or something. I told him I was just renting the place and he just put the phone down on me.5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be a local energy consultant for my area. Didn’t even let him finish his sentence before I just ended the call.5 yearsI received a call from this number, but there was no noise when I answered, and then it just cut off. What’s that all about?5 yearsThey called pretending to be my "local energy supplier for the area," which sounded totally made up since energy companies operate all over the country. I guess they were pushing energy saving stuff for the house or something? When I told them we were actually in the middle of renovations, the person just ended the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.5 yearsGot a call from some marketing research firm today. They said if I wanted to stop getting their calls, I just had to press 1. Pretty annoying!5 yearsi asked him how he got my details and right after that he just ended the call!5 yearsMy phone rang but no one spoke when I picked up. My number’s ex-directory so I don’t know who it could be, and that number isn’t familiar to me at all.5 yearsReceived a call from a rather amiable young chap who claimed he was aware I was the owner of the property. Strangely, he didn’t mention my name or address at any point. When I pressed him about what he was actually selling, there was a noticeable hesitation before he continued reciting his pre-prepared spiel. He mentioned that I likely benefited from initiatives to fit loft insulation, then went on to warn that such insulation could lead to condensation issues, which in turn, might lead to dampness. He spoke of a supposed scheme that could help get this assessed. He inquired if we had ever had our loft inspected, and it went on like that. Despite my repeated requests for clarity on what he was offering, each time he merely paused and resumed his script. Eventually, I told him I couldn’t spare any more time for this and decided to hang up, which I did.5 yearsReceived a rather curious phone call about assessing my loft insulation. Strangely enough, the caller seemed completely uninterested in my name or where I lived! He did mention that his supervisor would give me a ring back later, which felt a bit like a throwaway line. They were keen to offer a no-obligation survey to check if my loft was damp due to the insulation that’s supposedly been installed, a potential issue I never realised I had (and is likely a non-issue anyway).5 yearsI received a phone call regarding insulation for my loft - they mentioned a complimentary survey to assess issues with condensation and mould, then discussed a potential 'strategy' for addressing any necessary repairs. The conversation ended rather suddenly, which was quite off-putting.5 yearsI told the guy from the energy company we didn’t want to switch as we’re fine where we are, and he just went straight off without another word. Bit cheeky really.5 yearsI picked up the call, but there was silence on the other end before they disconnected.5 yearsI just had a rather peculiar phone call from a chap named Alex, who claimed to be from the Solar Centre based in Derby. He mentioned that he believed I was the owner of my home, which baffled me since he didn’t even bother to find out my name. When I inquired if this was a cold call and what exactly he was trying to sell, his reply was as vague as you’d expect. The call ended abruptly-quicker than I could suggest he find a more appropriate place for his phone! Quite the day, I must say.AlexSolar CentreDerbySubmit Your Own Report (01332 323008)
