Reports on phone number 01332323008
4 yearsToday, I received a phone call from this number purporting to be associated with a company offering HomeCare insurance. It seems that my information may have been sourced from some registry, which is a bit concerning, especially since it mentioned a password that I actually use. The individual on the line asserted that they were contacting me regarding the next payment for a contract that supposedly covers maintenance for my washing machine. Sadly, I had previously fallen victim to a similar scam when I had a genuine contract for my Sky box and television, which was subsequently taken over by another firm with a name quite like theirs. However, I was quite certain that I had never signed up for any sort of policy related to my washing machine. The call ended abruptly after the caller attempted to intimidate me with threats of billing. This incident occurred on the 19th of April in 2022.HomeCareSky4 yearsI had this number blocked after a previous call, but it still rang my phone three times in a row really fast. Every time it stopped, my phone played the message "your call cannot be answered right now, thanks for calling." Kinda wish that blocking meant it wouldn’t even make my phone ring at all.5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be a ‘local energy expert’, but as soon as I mentioned I don’t own a home, they just ended the call. Feels like a total scam to me.5 yearsNot entirely certain, but it came across like some kind of robot. There were pauses as if it was waiting for me to answer, then it just moved on like nothing. Maybe it was just some clueless scammer, who knows? The person said they were from my neighbourhood's energy provider but didn’t seem bothered by my questions (I kept asking "who are you working for?" over and over). They just kept chatting away. Eventually, it went silent and I ended the call.5 yearsThey rang a few times, but never left a message even though it went through to my voicemail.5 yearsI didn’t hear anything until I started talking, then there was a click from their side. A man’s voice asked if I was the property owner. I told him I was tied up in a meeting. After that, another click on their line and the call dropped. It seemed like some kind of robo call just waiting for me to say something.5 yearsLike the others said about mould and damp issues, this bloke called checking how I was doing. I just told him it’s not something he needs to know and gave nothing away. When he kept pushing his spiel, I just ended the call.5 yearsSome bloke rang saying he was from an energy company, talking about loft insulation or something. I told him I was just renting the place and he just put the phone down on me.5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be a local energy consultant for my area. Didn’t even let him finish his sentence before I just ended the call.5 yearsThe call came through with no noise at all and then they just ended it. Strange behaviour!5 yearsThey called pretending to be my "local energy supplier for the area," which sounded totally made up since energy companies operate all over the country. I guess they were pushing energy saving stuff for the house or something? When I told them we were actually in the middle of renovations, the person just ended the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.5 yearsGot a call from some marketing research firm today. They said if I wanted to stop getting their calls, I just had to press 1. Pretty annoying!5 yearsi asked him how he got my details and right after that he just ended the call!5 yearsMy phone rang but no one spoke when I picked up. My number’s ex-directory so I don’t know who it could be, and that number isn’t familiar to me at all.5 yearsGot a call from a polite young chap who said he knew I was the homeowner, but didn’t mention my name or where I live. I asked straight away what he was offering, and after a brief quiet moment, he just continued with his spiel. He went on about how people might have taken up schemes for loft insulation, and then started on how that insulation can cause condensation, leading to damp issues. Apparently, there’s some kind of programme to get it inspected. He kept asking if we’d had our loft checked or whatever. I kept pressing him on what exactly he was selling, but each time he just went silent for a few seconds, then kept going with the same story. Eventually, I told him I didn’t have time and ended the call myself.5 yearsGot a ring about checking out my loft insulation, but the person on the phone didn't ask for my name or where I live at all. He said his manager would call back later on. They offered a free check-up to see if there's any dampness in the loft since the insulation was put in, which is some issue I had never heard of before (and most likely isn’t even a real problem).5 yearsGot a call about loft insulation and a ‘free survey’ for mould and condensation issues. They mentioned some sort of ‘plan’ if repairs were needed. The bloke ended the call quite suddenly, which was a bit strange.5 yearsI told the guy from the energy company we didn’t want to switch as we’re fine where we are, and he just went straight off without another word. Bit cheeky really.5 yearsThey didn’t say a word and just cut off the call.5 yearsGot a call from some bloke named Alex claiming he was from Solar Centre in Derby, reckoned I was the homeowner or something. Dunno how he figured that out when he didn’t even ask my name. I asked straight if this was a cold call and what exactly he was peddling. Before I could tell him where to stick his phone, the line just dropped on him. Typical!AlexSolar CentreDerbySubmit Your Own Report (01332 323008)
