Got a call from a woman saying she's a home efficiency advisor. She was trying to arrange for someone to come and check my loft, saying the insulation might be going bad and causing condensation issues. Could hear loads of noise like a call centre in the background. I just told her I wasn't interested and ended the call.

They rang me yesterday but I didn’t pick up. When I called back and checked here, it’s clear it’s a scam. Just now, a different number 0167538304 called but hung up as soon as I said hello, definitely another scam. While I’m writing this, an 0203 number just phoned, so I’ll check that as well. I’m guessing this is just another scam, especially since someone left a comment with more details on this back in 2018. Definitely seems dodgy, to say the least.

Green Homes Media Limited ~ I saw that this company was only set up on 3rd April 2018. I picked up the call and got the same automated message others have mentioned here, saying none of their agents were free but they'd ring me back later. I looked up the data protection register from the regulator and couldn't find this company listed at any of the Companies House addresses. If you're suspicious, you should report the number to The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), and if enough people complain, they'll investigate. I'm adding my complaint to theirs now.

Someone rang claiming to be a local energy adviser working nearby, saying they’d had loads of interest so were staying on for another week. They talked constantly about roof insulation, saying they could remove what I’ve got and instead spray the loft which supposedly saves loads on heating and stops condensation. I kept saying no thanks, I’m not interested, but they just kept going on about government grants running out and all sorts. They were really pushy. I honestly have no clue how they get my details - it’s quite unsettling when these calls come through.

Got four calls over the last couple of weeks. Managed to report them to the TPS but bet the firm will just close down and pop up under a new name. Their official address is Suite 1.8 Litchurch Plaza Derby DE24 8AA. The directors listed are Laurence Johnson and James Bennion. Fingers crossed they get what’s coming to them for the constant hassle.

I was under the impression cold calling wasn’t allowed. The call made me think it was from the local council's energy department. When the manager called back to check the appointment, and I questioned them, she admitted it was actually Green Energy Media and not connected to the council at all.
