21/09/23 Got a call outta the blue from a mortgage advice firm I never asked for. They seem to be working off dodgy info grabbed from other firms sharing or maybe mixing up data. Asked for a lad named James who apparently called to fix the wrong info they've got on their system. The director’s John Beard, based in Derby or somewhere near there.

They were quite insistent on obtaining my phone number so that they could offer assistance regarding our mortgage. Oddly enough, they didn't even know who our mortgage was with, which struck me as rather peculiar. The moment they answered, it sounded as if I had inadvertently reached an internal line, and they claimed this call shouldn't have occurred in the first place. Just a heads up - approach this lot with caution!

Annoying and persistent telemarketer has been harassing us on several occasions, trying to push a remortgage deal. Despite our clear indication that we have no interest in remortgaging at this time, they somehow managed to convince us to schedule a meeting for the 19th of January at 3 PM. We finally got around to answering the phone, and it turns out these folks are offering home insurance. They've managed to cut our weekly payment by £2 while providing a much better deal overall.
