They were saying they were from HMRC. Pretty obvious it’s a scam. The call came first from 01332242749. I got a bit worried at first when they said there was a problem with my taxes, but then I quickly figured something was up. When he asked for my full name, I told him I wouldn’t share it unless he could prove who he really was. Then he said he’d pass me onto another number, 02072343100. He wanted me to check a website that sounded kind of official to verify the number, but before he mentioned that, I’d already googled 02072343100 and found out it’s just a scam.
