Got a call from this bloke with a really thick Asian accent, said he was ringing for some institute about secure internet stuff. He claimed my internet wasn’t safe and that someone might be trying to hack in. I told him I already spoke to my provider and everything's just fine with my connection.

I got a call from a bloke with a heavy Asian accent, claiming his name was Jake Barnes and that he was ringing from Virgin Media. The noise in the background made it sound like he was in some massive call centre. The number was clearly spoofed - total scam, I reckon. I just gave short answers and he ended up getting annoyed before hanging up.
