Around 8.30 in the morning on the 22nd February 2021, I got a call on my mobile. The person on the other end spoke in a very firm tone, sounded very English with no hint of an accent, and said they were from HM Revenue & Customs. They accused me of being involved in some fraud case and told me to hit "1" to hear more about it. They warned that if I didn’t, I’d be arrested right away. When I didn’t press anything, the call just cut off.
