I received a call from someone who purported to be from BT, insisting that our internet was compromised following some work done on their equipment just days prior. They went on and on, droning about various technical issues, and even asked us to conduct a speed test on our connection. After we obliged, they claimed that our service was deliberately throttled due to these so-called hackers infiltrating our connection. Honestly, I found it all exceedingly dubious-I'm not convinced it was genuinely BT at all.
