Some bloke rang me up saying my Amazon account was compromised and that I’d made a purchase for £749. He insisted I needed to download an app from the App Store to cancel it, but I wasn’t having any of that. After that, he started getting pushy and talked over me the whole time, not giving me a chance to speak. I told him I didn’t buy into his story and called him out for trying to scam me, which seemed to rile him up even more. Since he wouldn’t let me get a word in, I just hung up.
