Yet again, I received a call from these so-called "professionals." I firmly requested them to take my name and number off their records in line with GDPR regulations. The chap on the other end just flatly refused, saying they'd be in touch again, and then abruptly hung up. I've blocked the number, but I have little doubt they'll ring me using a different one soon enough. Honestly, I've no clue how they acquired my information in the first place.

They rang up saying they were with HMRC and claimed I'd missed a letter from them. They warned me I'd be hit with a big fine, which sounded dodgy to me, so I just ended the call. I mean, how can they say 'a big fine' without stating exactly how much? Seemed a bit off.

So, this woman calls me up and says she’s not trying to sell anything, just a short survey to check if I’m eligible for some government funding. She already had my name and first bit of my postcode, then asked if our heating runs on gas, electric, or oil. I said gas, and then she wanted to know the age of our boiler. When I told her it’s only three years old, she just ended the call right there. Strange!

Today, 14/6/22, I got a call from someone claiming to be from Sky assured maintenance, saying my policy had expired. When I asked what exactly it was for, they told me it was some contract I supposedly had with them. I requested a policy number as I never received one before, and they provided one. They also claimed they sent emails in Feb and May, plus some letters in the post. When I asked for their address, the lady just ended the call! I was certain I never held any policy with them, so it was a total scam right from the start!
