Got a call from some guy called Darius at Thermo Homes who was banging on about these fake grants for stuff like double glazing - you know, the same things Thermo Homes tries to sell. As soon as I answered, they just cut the call straight away. I got pulled out of what I was busy with for absolutely no reason.

Got a random call from a woman with a Scottish accent claiming she was nearby and offering grants to help with energy efficiency. When I told her I was on the TPS, she said that only blocks sales calls and she was just sharing info, which sounded dodgy to me. After a bit, she mentioned working for Thermal Homes. I ended the call and reported it to TPS, but they said they couldn’t track the firm based on the number. Seeing that over a thousand people here have checked this number, you'd think TPS would handle it better. Honestly, I reckon TPS is pretty useless.

Got a call from a bloke with a British accent asking to speak to the homeowner. When I asked what it was about, he said he was offering some advice. Before he could explain any further, I told him not to bother with unwanted calls and ended the call. I've blocked the number now.

Cheers for all the comments here! After seeing them, I decided to block the number straight away. I’ve also put a firm message on my answerphone saying all calls get screened, and any spam or unknown numbers won’t be picked up and get blocked right away.

I had a rather unpleasant encounter with a chap on the phone who was quite insistent on me responding to his queries. When I pressed him for details about his company's so-called "project," he simply kept steering the conversation back to his questions. I made it clear that I wasn't keen to engage, to which he retorted that they'd merely ring me again if I didn’t comply. I found his behaviour quite intimidating and eventually decided I'd had enough and hung up. I also made it known that my number is private, which only seemed to irk him further. Truly, his rudeness was astounding!

Utterly appalling behaviour. Being disabled, each time the phone goes off, it sends a jolt through me. It would be splendid if these imbeciles would just find themselves a proper job instead of this nonsense of calling and then hanging up again.
