This is actually my phone number that scammers have been faking. I’ve had loads of angry voicemails and tons of missed calls because of it. Even though it looked like the calls were coming from me, neither me nor anyone else at home made those calls. My phone wouldn’t stop ringing, it was nonstop every few minutes. I’ve already reported it to Action Fraud. Just a heads up, it might happen to you too.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank’s fraud dept, said there was suspicious activity on my account with Amazon purchases. They never mentioned the bank name, just the usual warnings about unauthorised transactions. Felt like one of those classic scams.

Got a call from someone saying they were the "Bank Security Team" and that there had been two payments made today - one £200 charge on Amazon and another £1300 sent overseas. They told me to press 1 to approve or 2 to talk to them. Obviously a scam, so I’ve blocked the number now.
