Got a call from 01329542139 and when I didn't pick up it went straight to voicemail but no message was left. The phone kept showing that it was an overseas number ringing which makes me think it’s one of those calls from India trying to scam you or sell something dodgy!

I overheard a young chap chatting away on the phone, asking another bloke if he’d be billed for the call. I tried to greet him, saying hello a good four times without a word back, so I eventually decided to hang up.

At 12:25 on 19th Jan 2021, I got a call from a number claiming to be Fareham, but I just let it ring out and they never left any message. Like others have said, I reckon it's suspicious. Funny enough, it's a lot like a different mystery caller I received earlier today from Daventry, the number was 01327542100. Seems odd to me.

Someone called Milton from the Green Scheme asking if I qualified for Government grants to improve energy saving. He kept asking about how old my windows and doors were, like if they were over 10 years, then pushed to give me a quote for replacements. I’ve registered with the TPS as well. It seems less like a straight-up scam and more like a dodgy sales tactic to drum up leads, probably skirting the edge of legality.

I got a call asking if I was Mrs something, then they started talking about some green scheme and money set aside for my neighbourhood. Asked if we had old windows at home or something. My elderly mum said she’d pass the phone to me, but the caller just hung up. I’ve blocked the number since then. Definitely seems like a dodgy scam.

The caller actually used my name, started with “Is that Mr.” but then just hung up straight away. Total waste of time.

That was a weird one. Normally, if I don’t know the number, I just let it go to voicemail but I picked up this time with a simple “Hello”. I could hear breathing on the line, so I said “Hello” again. Then suddenly, some robotic woman’s voice came through saying something like “You have been removed from this conference” and then the call just ended. Strange!

Got this dodgy number calling me nonstop, just like about 15 others from different parts of the UK. I don't bother leaving any message, just block them straight away after seeing all the bad stuff others have reported. These days, if the number isn’t saved in my contacts, I won’t pick up. Got a call at about half six in the evening, it went straight to voicemail and they didn’t leave any message. Used this great site to look up the number and turns out it was just some annoying spam call. I never pick up unknown numbers anyway. Everyone I know always knows to leave a message and say who they are before I decide to answer.

Got a phone call from some bloke pushing a government-backed home improvement thing. First, he said it was free, then suddenly mentioned sending me a quote. I told him straight it was a sales call and I’m registered with the TPS, which seemed to throw him off a bit. I pointed out that if his firm couldn’t filter out TPS numbers, they were pretty useless, then he just hung up. Could hear loads of chatter and noise like he was in some call centre. Feels dodgy to me, not the way a genuine caller would act. Definitely blocked him.

Got a call from a lady who asked if she was speaking to "Mr" and mentioned my wife's work name, which is odd since the phone’s under my name. Clearly, they must have found our number through some database or a mailing list. She sounded quite polite and said she was ringing from a Green company offering "government-funded" home improvements in our area - bit suspicious how they target by postcode, isn’t it? I just told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Not sure if it’s a scam, but I don’t bother with cold calls anyway. Blocked the number straight away.

For years now I’ve been getting calls from these muppets asking about someone who doesn’t even exist and from places that aren’t real. Then they go on and on trying to sell you rubbish or pull off some kind of scam. Seriously, it’s about time someone put an end to this nonsense.
