9 yearsI had a rather unsettling phone call recently. A chap named "Sam," who had quite a thick Indian accent, claimed he was reaching out on behalf of my insurers. He asked me if I’d had an accident that I wasn’t responsible for in the past couple of years. When I pointed out that he ought to know if my insurers sent him, he just repeated his question. I pressed him to reveal who my insurers were, and he resorted to shouting, instructing me to "Listen carefully, have you had an accident...?" I couldn’t help but ask if he was attempting to fish for information, to which he cheekily admitted, "Yes." I told him to cease calling me and demanded he remove my information from his records. His response was astonishing-he boisterously declared, "I’ll ring you back, 5, 10, 15, 20 times. P*** off, lady!" before abruptly ending the call.
