Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT Openreach. They actually used my last name which freaked me out a bit. They said Microsoft had found some security issue and kept pushing how urgent it was. They wanted me to switch on my laptop but I told them I only use an iPad and iPhone, then they just hung up. They rang back today and spoke to my missus, but when she asked for my email to verify if it was really BT, they just cut off the call again. Definitely seems dodgy to me.

somebody called me claiming they were from btl!

Somebody rang me saying they were from BT and needed my permission to sort out a security issue. I told them I wasn’t authorising anything, then they started threatening to cut off my internet, phone and TV. I just told them to do their worst, and then they ended up hanging up on me.
